Afkaaruna Islamic School

As parents of young children the choice of school is usually a difficult decision.
After visiting AIS we were immediately comfortable in the county side setting, the Head of the Foundation (Pak Samsul Ma’arif Mujiharto) and his team of educators are dedicated to providing a comprehensive education with a very strong foundation in the Islamic religion. Insya’ Allah the perfect start to forming a new generation of young people with good “akhlaq” and Islamic morals. The vision and mission of AIS combined with a broad curriculum provides a strong start in the long journey of learning.

The most three impressive things during the learning process in Afkaaruna Islamic School for Zahra are first, she feels happy and enthusiastic to go to school. Second, she has a close bond with her friends. The last but not least, her ability to communicate in English has improved a lot. Those three things for me are indicators for a conducive learning interaction between students and educators in developing not only their knowledge but also their hard and soft skills.

Afkaaruna Islamic School (AIS) provides a better milieu for my daughter to learn and understand Islamic teachings and values based on local culture. In addition, it also facilitates her to participate in global environment through its international program especially Cambridge packs. In the beginning, we just searching for a School that can educate and encourage our little daughter–then a 4 years old–to get close to Allah, but here in Afkaaruna, we got more than what we had expected. In our opinion, Afkaaruna has succesfully mixed important ingredients between Islamic School, international school, and ‘sekolah alam’. The engagement between school and parents are great too. We feel so fortunate to be a part of Afkaaruna’s big family in an effort to deliver our little princess to become Al-Insaan Al-kaamil for ummah and our beloved country.
